  • 1 large garlic clove grated or finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes optional
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the crinkle-cut fries according to the package directions until golden and slightly crispy.
  • While the fries cook, combine the butter and grated or minced garlic in a microwave-safe bowl and heat briefly until the butter is melted and the garlic is fragrant, about 30–60 seconds; alternatively, melt butter and garlic in a small saucepan over low heat.
  • Stir the dried parsley flakes into the garlic butter, if using.
  • When the fries are done, place them in a large bowl or on the baking sheet and immediately toss with the garlic butter until evenly coated.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.

Equipment

  • baking sheet (if oven)
  • Microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan
  • small bowl for serving
  • tongs or spatula

Notes

  • Use freshly minced garlic for a stronger flavor.
  • Adjust butter amount to taste for more or less richness.
  • Add parsley only if you want a touch of color and herb flavor.
