  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, cut into chunks
  • ¾ cup butter, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: Line a mini muffin tin with paper liners or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Step 3: In a saucepan over low heat, melt the semi-sweet chocolate and butter, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Step 4: In a mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar and brown sugar. Pour the melted chocolate-butter mixture over the sugars and stir until combined.
  • Step 5: Add eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  • Step 6: In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, salt, and flour. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Step 7: Spoon the batter into the mini muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full.
  • Step 8: Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the tops look set. Let cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
