cups
All-purpose flour

1
tablespoon
Baking powder
¾
teaspoon
Salt
Wet Ingredients
1
cup
Whole milk
Vegetable oil
For frying
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Use a whisk to ensure the ingredients are well incorporated.
Pour in the whole milk gradually, mixing with a wooden spoon or your hands until a rough dough begins to form.
Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece out on a floured surface until it’s about ¼ inch thick.
In a deep skillet, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Test if the oil is ready by dropping a small piece of dough into it.
Carefully place one piece of rolled dough into the hot oil. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Continue to fry the remaining pieces of dough, adjusting the heat as necessary.
Serve your Taco Fry Bread warm and let everyone customize them with their favorite taco fillings.

Notes
Make sure your oil is hot enough before frying to ensure a crispy texture. If the dough feels too sticky, add a little more flour while kneading.
