Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 cups Fresh Raspberries Plus extra for garnish
  • 1 cup Fresh Lime Juice (about 6-8 limes)
  • 2 cups Sparkling Water (or lemon-lime soda for sweetness)
  • 1 shot Spirit of Choice (vodka or rum work well)
  • as needed Ice Cubes
  • as needed Lime Slices For garnish

Instructions

  • Step 1: Combine the water and granulated sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves to create a simple syrup.
  • Step 2: Add fresh raspberries to the simple syrup. Simmer for 5-7 minutes to break down the raspberries and release their juices.
  • Step 3: Remove from heat and strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, discarding the solids to obtain raspberry syrup.
  • Step 4: In a large pitcher, mix the lime juice with the raspberry syrup and stir well.
  • Step 5: Pour in the sparkling water (or lemon-lime soda) and stir gently to combine.
  • Step 6: Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the raspberry-limeade mixture, add a shot of spirit, and garnish with lime slices and raspberries.

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Pitcher
  • Fine Mesh Sieve

Notes

For a stronger raspberry flavor, use more raspberries or reduce the sparkling water. Always use fresh limes for the best flavor.
