  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and vegetable shortening until light and fluffy. Gradually add the granulated and brown sugars, mixing until well combined.
  • Step 3: Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  • Step 6: Fold in the old-fashioned oats, quick oats, and raisins until evenly distributed.
  • Step 7: Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  • Step 8: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes
