Ingredients

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup panko bread crumbs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 10 ounces canned boneless skinless pink salmon, drained
  • ½ cup red bell pepper, cored and minced
  • cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients. Gather all your ingredients and drain the canned salmon thoroughly.
  • Step 2: Mix the Base. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained salmon, minced red bell pepper, chopped parsley, mayonnaise, beaten egg, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
  • Step 3: Add Dry Ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk together the panko bread crumbs, flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the salmon mixture.
  • Step 4: Shape the Croquettes. Form the salmon mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter, making about 8-10 patties.
  • Step 5: Cook the Croquettes. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Step 6: Serve with Dipping Sauces. Serve warm with remoulade sauce or Yum Yum sauce for dipping.
