  • 20 ounces Rotel (diced tomatoes and green chilies)
  • 0.25 cup yellow onion, peeled and chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 1 whole jalapeño, quartered, seeded & sliced thin
  • 0.5 cup cilantro, stems removed
  • 0.5 whole lime, juiced
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cumin

Instructions

  • Step 1: Gather your ingredients. Make sure all your ingredients are within reach.
  • Step 2: Combine base ingredients. In a large bowl, combine the canned whole peeled tomatoes and Rotel. Break up the tomatoes to your desired consistency.
  • Step 3: Add fresh ingredients. Stir in the chopped yellow onion, minced garlic, and sliced jalapeño.
  • Step 4: Spice it up. Add the cilantro, lime juice, salt, sugar, and cumin. Mix well.
