Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare Your Batter - Mix the milk and lemon juice (or vinegar) in a small bowl and let it sit for about 5 minutes. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and melted butter. Add the brown sugar, vanilla extract, and the milk mixture, stirring until well combined.
  • Step 2: Combine Dry Ingredients - In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Step 3: Whip Egg Whites - In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the batter using a spatula.
  • Step 4: Preheat Your Waffle Iron - Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions and lightly grease it.
