Ingredients

Chicken Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, cut into drumettes and flats

Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Sauce

  • 1 cup honey
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup hot sauce adjust to taste

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Wings - Wash the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry. In a large bowl, combine the wings with salt, pepper, onion powder, and minced garlic. Toss until well-coated.
  • Step 2: Preheat the Grill - Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. For charcoal, wait until coals are ashy white. For gas, preheat for 10-15 minutes.
  • Step 3: Grill the Wings - Place the seasoned wings on the grill. Cook for 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Step 4: Make the Honey Hot Sauce - In a saucepan over medium heat, combine melted butter, honey, and hot sauce. Whisk and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Step 5: Toss the Wings in Sauce - Remove wings from the grill, place in a bowl, and pour the honey hot sauce over them. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Step 6: Serve and Enjoy - Arrange wings on a platter and serve warm with blue cheese dressing, celery sticks, and carrot sticks.
