Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground Turkey
  • 1 cup Zucchini Grated
  • ½ cup Yellow Onion Peeled and grated
  • ¼ cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients - Gather all your ingredients. Wash the zucchini and tomatoes thoroughly. Peel and grate the onion. Let the ground turkey sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  • Step 2: Combine the Burger Mixture - In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, grated zucchini, grated onion, panko bread crumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried oregano.
  • Step 3: Mixing It Up - Using your hands, gently mix all the ingredients together until they just come together. Avoid overmixing.
  • Step 4: Forming the Patties - Divide the mixture into equal portions to form patties, about ¾ inch thick.
  • Step 5: Cooking the Burgers - Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill or skillet. Cook the burgers for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Step 6: Assemble Your Burger - Slice fresh tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Place the burgers on buns and top with fresh basil, sliced tomatoes, and mozzarella. Drizzle with balsamic glaze.
