  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ¾ cup panko bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • ¼ cup milk (2% or whole)
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 48 ounces marinara sauce (2 jars)

  • Parmesan cheese, shredded for garnish

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Meatball Mixture - In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef and ground beef. Mix in the panko bread crumbs, shredded parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, milk, Italian seasoning, salt, garlic powder, and eggs until well incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Step 2: Shape the Meatballs - Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet or plate.
  • Step 3: Brown the Meatballs (Optional) - Brown the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden.
  • Step 4: Add to the Crockpot - Place the meatballs in the crockpot and pour marinara sauce over them, ensuring they are well covered.
  • Step 5: Cook on Low - Set the crockpot to cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  • Step 6: Serve and Enjoy - Stir the meatballs in the sauce and serve over cooked pasta, garnished with parsley and parmesan cheese.

Notes
