Instructions
Step 1: Brown the Beef - Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat and set aside.
Step 2: Sauté the Vegetables - In the same skillet, add diced onions and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute. Remove from heat.
Step 3: Combine Ingredients in the Slow Cooker - In the crock pot, combine browned beef, sautéed onions, garlic, strained tomatoes, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, salt, cumin, smoked paprika, and oregano. Stir well.
Step 4: Slow Cook the Chili - Set the crock pot to low heat and cook for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
