  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Topping

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples with the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss until well-coated.
  • Step 3: Transfer the apple mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Step 4: In a separate bowl, mix together the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Step 5: Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apple layer.
