  • 1 packet Country gravy mix (2 cup yield)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Step 3: Prepare the country gravy according to the packet instructions in the same skillet.
  • Step 4: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, and black pepper. Add the cooked sausage and 1 cup of shredded Colby-jack cheese, mixing until evenly distributed.
  • Step 5: Open the tube of biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters. Spread the biscuit pieces evenly across the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Step 6: Pour the sausage and egg mixture over the biscuit layer, ensuring it’s evenly distributed.
  • Step 7: Carefully pour the prepared gravy over the casserole and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded Colby-jack cheese on top.
