  • 3 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the French Bread - Cut French bread into 1-inch cubes and let sit out for a few hours or overnight.
  • Step 2: Make the Custard Mixture - In a large bowl, beat eggs and add half-and-half, milk, sugar, and vanilla. Whisk until combined.
  • Step 3: Combine Bread with Custard - Place cubed bread into custard mixture and fold gently until coated.
  • Step 4: Prepare the Apple Topping - Melt butter in a skillet, add diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until apples are tender.
