  • ¾ cup heavy cream chilled
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows regular or fruit-flavored
  • 1 ½ cups sweetened shredded coconut
  • 11 ounces mandarin oranges well drained
  • ¾ cup maraschino cherries stems removed, rinsed, and drained
  • 1 cup pineapple tidbits well drained

Instructions

  • Step 1: In a mixing bowl, add the chilled heavy cream and beat until it begins to thicken, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Step 2: Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until stiff peaks form, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Step 3: Gently fold in the sour cream until well combined and smooth.
  • Step 4: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mini marshmallows, sweetened shredded coconut, mandarin oranges, maraschino cherries, and pineapple tidbits. Toss gently to mix.
  • Step 5: Pour the whipped cream and sour cream mixture into the bowl with the fruit and marshmallows. Gently fold until everything is coated.
  • Step 6: Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Make sure your heavy cream is very cold before whipping for the best results. Feel free to experiment with different fruits.
