- 4 pounds (1.8kg) Yukon Gold or Maris Piper potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
- ¾ cup (180ml) water or chicken stock
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- ¼ cup (60g) salted butter, softened
- ¼ cup (60ml) heavy cream, at room temperature
Instructions
- Peel and cut the potatoes into 1-inch pieces and place them in the crockpot.
- Pour in the water or chicken stock.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until fork-tender.
- Mash the potatoes using a masher, ricer, or electric mixer.
- Mix in the softened butter and heavy cream until smooth and creamy.
- Adjust seasoning if needed and serve warm.
Notes
For an extra creamy texture, use a potato ricer. Adjust the amount of heavy cream for desired consistency.
