Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium, add butter to skillet, and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits, and simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over, and let simmer for 2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F. Serve with pasta, rice, or roasted veggies for a complete meal.
