- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry and season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter to skillet, and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits, and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over, and let simmer for 2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
For best results, cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F. Serve with pasta, rice, or roasted veggies for a complete meal.
